About the Role
Chris Williamson, host of Modern Wisdom, one of the world's leading long-form podcasts, is looking for a dedicated content creator to own and grow his personal brand across social media.

This is an on-the-ground, in-the-room role. You'll be with Chris regularly, camera ready, capturing the day-to-day moments, ideas, and behind-the-scenes life that his audience wants to see. Think less "content strategist sitting at a desk" and more "creative right-hand who's always ready to shoot."

The output: Instagram stories, short-form clips, and polished vlogs that feel authentic, engaging, and distinctly Chris.

Key Responsibilities

Film and capture content throughout Chris's day (workouts, meals, studio visits, travel, conversations, random moments worth keeping)

Shoot and edit Instagram Stories consistently, maintaining an active and engaging presence

Produce short-form video content for Instagram Reels and TikTok

Plan, shoot, and edit regular vlogs that give Chris's audience an inside look at his world

Develop and evolve a content calendar that keeps output consistent without making it feel manufactured

Bring ideas — concepts, formats, trends, angles — that push the personal brand forward

Manage posting, captions, and community engagement across Chris's personal channels

Write captions, hooks, and copy that are sharp, witty, and native to the platform (never generic or AI slop)

Travel with Chris as needed to capture content on the road (expected 25–50% of the year)

What We're Looking For

Someone who shoots first and asks questions later — strong instincts for capturing moments as they happen

Confident with a camera, iPhone, and editing software — fast and fluid in CapCut or equivalent; speed matters

A strong, witty writer who can nail a caption, punch up a hook, and match Chris's voice without it feeling forced

A natural storyteller who understands pacing, narrative, and what makes a vlog actually watchable

Deeply fluent in Instagram and TikTok — you know what's working, why, and how to apply it

High energy, high initiative — you don't wait to be asked, you make things happen

Comfortable working in someone's personal orbit and adapting to an unpredictable schedule

Confident enough to push back, redirect, and get the shot — this role requires someone who can say "we're doing this now" and mean it

Genuinely curious and engaged with the ideas Chris explores — it'll show in the content

Flexible and travel-ready; up to half the year may involve being on the road

Personal Brand Experience — What Actually Matters
We're not looking for someone to point a camera and post.

We're looking for someone who understands the difference between content that builds something and content that just fills a feed.

The right person has experience growing a personal brand (ideally a creator, podcaster or public figure's) and knows how to identify formats and styles that compound over time. You understand that consistency of voice and format is what creates a recognizable brand, and that a hundred random posts are worth less than ten that really land. You track what's working, iterate on it, and build systems that drive genuine audience growth rather than just activity.

Experience working directly on a personal brand (not just a company or product account) is strongly preferred.

A Note on Modern Wisdom
This role is focused exclusively on Chris's personal brand — not the Modern Wisdom podcast. That said, there's natural overlap, and creative contribution across both is always welcome. Podcast clipping and episode editing are not part of this role.
