The Marching Band Section Director serves as a role model and coach for their assigned section, helping members stay prepared, focused, and on standard during rehearsals and performances.
They reinforce fundamentals (music, marching technique, timing, and alignment), communicate updates between staff and the section, and assist with section readiness and problem-solving.
They are expected to lead respectfully, be reliable with attendance, and help the section improve as the show progresses.
