About the Role

The Managing Director or Director at PCE is responsible for the origination, generation and execution of signed Investment Banking engagements from prospect identification through to client transaction closing.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee creation of client Confidential Information Memorandum marketing materials, financial models, execution of transactions as well as assistance with prospect and referral source marketing materials.
  • Negotiate terms and structures of transactions.
  • Oversee the day-to-day activities of all PCE professionals and third-party service providers related to a given engagement.
  • Maintain open and accurate communication with all parties involved in the transaction.
  • Review, edit, and upgrade the quality, accuracy and appropriateness of analyses performed by the deal team.
  • Maintain primary contact with the client.
  • Work collaboratively with other Managing Directors and Directors on transactions.
  • Sell PCE’s investment banking, valuation and ESOP services to potential clients and referral sources.
  • Establish and improve the image and knowledge of PCE within the business community.
  • Develop and mentor colleagues.
  • Establish a network of referral sources and company relationships that will generate revenues.
  • Market self and PCE services to clients, prospects, and referral sources.
  • Supervise deal teams throughout the life of the deal.
  • Facilitate clear communication among all parties involved in the transaction.
  • Direct deal teams in creating client “pitch-books” and other marketing collateral as needed.
  • Identify local and nationwide potential business prospects for investment banking transactions.
  • Develop marketing/calling strategy to PCE referral sources and prospective clients.
  • Perform additional research and analysis of clients’ financial and operational performance.
  • Maintain a high profile in the community to promote and enhance the visibility, reputation, and image of PCE.
  • Attend PCE professional meetings to ensure clear communication regarding assignments, deadlines, status, priorities, and other job-related issues.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of standard accounting practices, financial principles and statements, and valuation methods.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Intellectual thinking skills.
  • Public speaking and effective presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain sophisticated client relationships.
  • Must possess diplomacy, good judgment, integrity, flexibility, drive and professionalism.
  • Must be able to work independently and demonstrate a collaborative style.
  • Must have ability to manage multiple priorities and projects at one time.
  • Organizational, prioritization, follow-through, financial analysis, and analytical problem-solving skills required.
  • Strong background in a particular sector with meaningful deal experience.
  • Open to candidates with an investment banking and/or corporate background.

Required Skills

  • Ability to market self and PCE services to clients, prospects, and referral sources.
  • Strong knowledge of financial analysis and modeling.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in industry-specific marketing efforts, speaking engagements, sponsorships, and other relevant activities.
