This position is based in Champaign, Illinois or Bloomington-Normal, Illinois.

Responsibilities

Assists in developing special projects as assigned and needed.

Develops and implements effective communications plans to support the organization’s long‑ and short‑term strategic plans.

Creates communications content that informs key audiences, educating them about Carle’s position or services; research, writing, editing, and coordinating approvals are required.

Oversees aspects of special events, ensuring alignment with Carle brand and business objectives.

Maintains readiness for crisis communications through training, preparedness, responses, and planning as part of the corporate communications team.

Completes Corporate Reports such as the Annual Report and Community Benefit Report.

Generates innovative ideas, challenges traditional thinking, and approaches work problems creatively.

Interviews, writes, and edits copy, and takes routine photos or videos in support of communications projects.

May oversee portions of Carle’s corporate network, posting stories, videos, and information that support Carle culture.

Serves as liaison with key internal departments and builds external relationships.

Ensures materials produced by Carle adhere to legal and compliance mandates for ADA and other laws.

Tracks results and maintains appropriate databases as needed.

Qualifications

Certified level not specified.

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.

Related work experience in communications or a related field.

Compensation and Benefits
The compensation range for this position is $27.48 per hour – $45.89 per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
