Vocabulary Editor Job at Virtual Vocations Inc in New York

Developing and maintaining master taxonomies, the full-time Associate Vocabulary Editor will collaborate with business units and contractors to enhance vocabulary initiatives while working remotely.
Key responsibilities

Develop, document, and maintain Cengage master taxonomies and controlled vocabularies
Collaborate with various teams to coordinate vocabulary development and respond to feedback on vocabulary-related issues
Research existing ontologies and evaluate vocabulary management practices

Required qualifications

College degree or equivalent work experience required
Minimum familiarity with vocabulary management; one year of experience in ontology development preferred
Proficiency in basic Windows Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Access
Spanish language proficiency and/or other language competencies desirable
Strong analytical, writing, and organizational skills
