On Cue Hire is seeking a Production Assistant to join a growing television news organization based in Boca Raton, Florida. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional who is passionate about news, politics, media, and live broadcasting.

We are looking for someone with experience in a college news station, campus media organization, television news internship, or radio broadcasting environment who is eager to learn and build a long-term career in the news industry. This role offers significant opportunity for advancement within a fast-paced newsroom setting.

Key Responsibilities

Support producers, directors, anchors, and newsroom staff with daily broadcast operations.

Conduct research for news stories, gather background information, and assist with story development.

Assist with script preparation, teleprompter operation, and production coordination.

Log and organize video footage, media assets, and production materials.

Monitor news, current events, and political developments to support editorial teams.

Help coordinate live and recorded broadcasts.

Assist with studio and control room operations as needed.

Maintain accurate production records and newsroom documentation.

Perform administrative and operational tasks to support efficient newsroom workflows.

Take initiative to learn newsroom systems, production technology, and broadcast best practices.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

1-2 years of professional work experience required , which may be gained in media, broadcasting, customer service, internships, administrative roles, hospitality, or other professional environments.

Experience working in television news, radio broadcasting, a university news station, campus media organization, or a related journalism environment through internships, part-time employment, student leadership, or extracurricular activities.

Strong interest in news, current events, journalism, and politics.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Strong work ethic, professionalism, and willingness to learn.

Ability to work onsite in Boca Raton, Florida.
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Broadcast Media, Political Science, or a related field.

College GPA of 3.5 or higher preferred.

Experience with newsroom operations, broadcast production, or radio production.

Familiarity with teleprompters, newsroom software, video editing tools, or broadcast production systems.

Demonstrated involvement in student journalism, campus broadcasting, or media organizations.
Schedule Requirements

Ability to work onsite five days per week in Boca Raton, FL.

Ability to work

9-hour shifts, including a 1-hour unpaid meal break, scheduled between the hours of 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM .

Schedule may vary based on newsroom and production needs.

Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, or special news coverage when required.
