DLF North America is currently recruiting for a Regional Sales Manager in Eastern Iowa. This is a remote position, and the successful applicant must live within this territory.

DLF Group is the world leader in the development and sale of high‑quality grass seeds for the agricultural forage and professional lawn markets.

About the Job
This position is responsible for managing existing accounts while developing new accounts within the specified sales territory. The role also requires achieving or exceeding financial targets, implementing marketing strategies, and improving customer relationships.

Job Responsibilities

Participate in business planning and budget sessions as directed by your Leader.

Make target sales goals and adjust plans to meet them.

Review sales statistics to identify strengths, weaknesses, and create an action plan.

Develop and maintain a “total customer satisfaction” orientation.

Increase market share through broader and deeper penetration of new customers and existing customers.

Implement a formal approach to market development, including maintaining a customer database, market intelligence, formal call lists, and trade‑show attendance.

Service existing distributor base and ensure customer satisfaction through monitoring sales to meet customer criteria.

Execute marketing support strategies at approved brand standards, including distributor programs.

Monitor inventory positions as it relates to day‑to‑day sales operations in coordination with the shipping department.

Continue product and sales education through meetings, seminars, and training sessions.

Support internal control procedures related to credit management and assist in clearing credit matters.

Manage accounts receivable through regular review of aged listings and collection of overdue accounts, collaborating with Finance.

Foster a team approach with full and open cross‑functional communication.

Keep your Sales Leader well informed.

Promote a safe, healthy work environment by maintaining a zero‑tolerance standard for risk reduction and complying with safety policy.

Qualifications

Superb customer relationship and communication skills, including oral and written.

Attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive confidential information.

Willingness to travel 50‑70% of the time within the territory.

Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations and proposals.

Strong leadership and motivational skills.

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Preferred Education and Experience
Education: Bachelor’s Degree – Sales & Marketing or Ag Business Administration/Management.
Experience: Four (4) plus years of agricultural sales experience preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
DLF USA Inc. offers a compensation plan that includes a base salary, benefits such as medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, a bonus opportunity, a retirement savings plan with company contribution, paid holidays, vacation, and personal days. Compensation will be based on experience.
