Overview Amentum is seeking a Front‑End Developer to join our team in Arlington, VA. The role supports a DoW Special Programs customer, developing a modern web‑based platform in AWS GovCloud that consolidates critical government workflows, automates data management, and enforces role‑based access control and multi‑level security.
Work Schedule Monday through Friday, 8‑hour days onsite. Flexibility within a 2‑week pay period to accrue up to 80 hours.
Essential Responsibilities Develop and maintain scalable, high‑performance web applications using modern front‑end frameworks.
Collaborate with UX/UI and back‑end developers to deliver seamless user experiences.
Translate design mockups and wireframes into clean, efficient code.
Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and accessibility.
Implement responsive designs that work across devices and screen sizes.
Ensure cross‑browser compatibility and maintain code quality through testing and reviews.
Stay current with emerging technologies and propose improvements to existing systems.
Physical and Mental Demands Office environment with no unusual hazards; occasional lifting up to 50 pounds; constant sitting, use of sight, speech, and hearing; constant mental alertness; planning and organizing skills required; ability to work under deadlines.
Minimum Requirements 5–8 years of experience in front‑end development.
Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
Experience with Angular, React, or Vue.js.
Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git).
Strong attention to detail and a passion for clean, maintainable code.
Exposure to Agile development environments.
Security Clearance TS/SCI clearance required. Must have an active DoD TS/SCI clearance adjudicated in the last 5 years or designated CE and ability to obtain and maintain special accesses.
Education Bachelor’s degree in information systems engineering, computer science, engineering, business, or related field. If degree absent, additional experience may be considered.
Certifications Required: AWS Solutions Architect – Associate (minimum); Professional preferred.
Professional: AWS SysOps Administrator – Associate or AWS DevOps Engineer – Professional.
Security+ CE.
Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting DoW ATO or FedRAMP authorization.
Familiarity with DISA STIG compliance.
Experience operating PostgreSQL on Amazon RDS, including patching and backup/restore.
Experience with Keycloak or equivalent OIDC/SAML identity provider integration in GovCloud.
Experience with Git, GitLab, Terraform, Splunk, HashiCorp Vault, JIRA, Jenkins, Ansible.
AWS GovCloud, Microsoft Windows Server, and Linux.
Associate level or above AWS certification.
Preferred: AWS Security – Specialty, ITIL Foundation.
Compensation $130,000 – $145,000. Compensation range is a good‑faith estimate and may vary based on responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, and applicable laws.
