About YAP Media YAP MEDIA NYC is hiring a full‑time Podcast Producer based in Austin, Texas to support our clientele of Top Podcasters and 8‑Figure Business Owners. This role is the heart of our production team and is responsible for creative deliverables, finalizing episodes, and day‑to‑day production tasks.
In just two years from launching the podcast arm of our company, YAP Media has been recognized as one of the top networks for business and self‑development podcasts. Our podcasts feature guests like Russel Brunson, Daymond John, Maria Forleo, Grant Cardone, Leila Hormozi, and other A‑List business influencers.
We are looking for a creative, organized, and detail‑oriented Podcast Producer who can bring our content to life through expert storytelling. This role demands a keen eye for content and a talent for creating engaging titles, show notes, and video clips.

Responsibilities Content Editing Review episodes in Descript that have been edited and mastered by our Audio Engineer.
Perform final content edits, add intros and outros, complete the final export, and upload to our podcast hosting provider.
Copywriting Write engaging, story‑driven show notes and sponsorship messages that align with the client's brand guidelines and tone of voice to drive engagement and downloads.
Follow copywriting SOPs closely, while knowing when it's appropriate to deviate.
Titles Create clear, compelling titles that align with the story‑driven show notes and the unique episode trailer played at the beginning of each episode.
Create thumbnail titles for short‑form video clips selected from the episode.
Short Form Videos Select two short‑form video clips from each episode and complete a rough edit to share with video editors who will complete the final production.
Episode Trailers Select highlights from each episode to create a unique 30‑second episode trailer to be played at the start of each episode.
Production Coordination Maintain and update production schedules.
Regularly track tasks throughout the entire production pipeline, from recording to publishing.
Schedule episodes and run QA checks.
Team Collaboration Work closely with the Executive Producer and other team members to manage and adhere to production schedules.
Collaborate with guest outreach, creative teams, and the social media department to ensure timely delivery of assets for smooth workflows across the board.
Sound Checks Provide sound check support when the Executive Producer is unavailable to ensure excellent audio and video quality of podcast recordings.
Internal & Client Communications Communicate enthusiastically and promptly with clients and team members through Slack and email.
Maintain the highest standards for clarity and syntax in all communications, especially written.
Results Finalize the production of up to 6 podcast episodes each week including content editing, show notes, titles, and short‑form video selections.
Create compelling, story‑centered content. Create trailers, show notes, and episode titles that align around a clear story‑theme for each episode.
Create rough cuts of 2 short‑form videos from the best highlights of each episode following a clear hook, story, and conclusion format.
Maintain the accuracy of production boards daily by updating the status of all deliverables as they are completed.
Requirements 5 years experience in podcasting or related industries.
High standards Goes the extra mile to make deliverables as good as they can be.
Basic Audio Engineering Skills Must be able to tell the difference between good and bad audio/video quality.
Must be able to spot and fix common recording issues.
Organized Plans, organizes, and schedules tasks in an efficient, productive manner.
Focuses on key priorities. Has the ability to manage many deliverables simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Good eye for content Able to identify and highlight key moments in content to create compelling, story‑driven deliverables.
Detail‑oriented Does not let important details slip through the cracks.
