At Pace we transform girls’ lives through academic and counseling programs based on a gender-responsive, strength-based and trauma informed framework. Team members create a safe place for girls to learn, process, heal and begin again.
The Reach Program Coordinator oversees community-based prevention, diversion, and early intervention programming to girls ages 11-17. This position is responsible for supporting the administrative execution of the day‑to‑day functioning of the program and ensuring that girls are provided with quality therapeutic supports.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Master’s Degree from a four‑year college or university. Major in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health, or Counseling.
Licensed in the State of Florida as a Mental Health Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, Clinical Social Worker, or a Registered Intern under a State Qualified Supervisor.
Minimum three to five years’ experience providing counseling and therapeutic clinical services to youth.
Experience with case management and community behavioral health practices.
Understanding of culturally relevant needs of diverse populations.
Child development knowledge.
Experience using personal computers and basic office equipment.
Preferred
Licensed as a Mental Health Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Clinical Social Worker.
Experience in managing and supervising teams.
Meets the requirements as a Qualified Supervisor to provide clinical licensure supervision.
Minimum one to three years’ experience in a leadership role.
Knowledge of laws relating to children and families.
Competencies in Trauma-Responsive practices.
Experience supervising team members who are located at satellite offices.
Roles and Responsibilities
Ensure quality programming that increases girls’ resiliency and protective factors at the individual, family, and community levels.
Ensure that all programming infuses gender‑responsive, strength‑based, and trauma‑informed approaches, and Pace values and guiding principles.
Ensure fidelity to the evidenced‑based program model.
Contribute to the recruitment and retention of girls and assist with maintaining program census.
Support identification of psycho‑social needs through holistic assessment and educate therapists on appropriate services, referrals, and enrollment decisions.
Provide oversight to therapists in therapy and wrap‑around care (case) management to build resiliency and decrease risk behaviors.
Provide direct care services, including weekly therapy and case management, psycho‑educational groups, and family support/counseling.
Support use of the Transtheoretical Model of Change and Relational‑Cultural Theory, considering trauma history and leveraging strengths.
Ensure psycho‑educational groups that are girl‑centered, focusing on social‑emotional and life‑skill development, including summer programming.
Oversee family support/counseling with caregivers to encourage progression and work with natural supports.
Provide crisis intervention as warranted, including family support, clinical consultation, and coordination of risk assessments.
Review and approve documentation, including needs assessments, screening tools, progress notes, care plans, and transition plans.
Assist with wrap‑around care services as needed, coordinating transportation, field trips, and extracurricular activities; collaborate with outside entities and community providers, make referrals, and advocate for resources.
Ensure team members use strength‑based behavior modification and de‑escalation of girls and caregivers when needed.
Leadership
Assist with hiring, onboarding, and supervising therapists within the culture of care, purpose, learning, and results.
Direct and supervise the Reach team using a gender‑responsive, trauma‑informed, strength‑based framework.
Guide and facilitate care meetings, providing education and clinical support to the team.
Coordinate internal and external professional development efforts and ensure training requirements and certifications are current.
Ensure compliance with documentation, data collection, programmatic outcomes, and prepare reports for contractual and grant obligations.
Assist with monitoring compliance with regulatory and contractual standards.
Oversee substance abuse prevention services and monitor Florida Administrative Code standards.
Ensure grant and funder contracts are utilized fully as dictated in contracts and memorandums of understanding.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of abuse and neglect disclosures.
Follow State and funder reporting procedures.
Implement action plans decided upon in management meetings.
Create partnerships and collaborate with community resources to enhance program quality.
Attend community meetings when appropriate to support agency initiatives, recruitment, and retention.
Assist training and oversight of interns and volunteers if warranted.
Other duties as assigned.

Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Must be able to travel by automobile, plane, train, etc.; occasional overnight travel may be required.
Work Environment
The work environment is fast‑paced, requires alertness and flexibility, and can be stressful. Noise level is usually quiet but can rise to moderate and high levels.
Background Screening
This position requires a Level II pre‑employment background screening pursuant to Chapters 435, 984, 985 and 943 and Florida Statutes, and the Department of Juvenile Justice policy and procedures.
