Seeking a part-time Senior Acquisitions Editor, this fully remote position will acquire, sign, and develop twelve to fifteen nonfiction book projects annually, focusing on general business, management, current affairs, and personal growth.
Key responsibilities
Conduct active outreach to identify and acquire suitable authors through various mediums
Provide in-depth editorial coaching and guidance to authors from concept to final manuscript
Collaborate with other departments to plan seasonal and annual publishing strategies
Required qualifications
Minimum of five years' experience as an acquisitions editor for nonfiction books
Knowledgeable in general business, management, current affairs, and personal growth nonfiction areas
Active networks for identifying and signing promising authors
Willingness to engage in substantive editorial work and project development
Desire to work collaboratively in a mission-driven environment
