Brown & Brown is seeking a Personal Lines Producer to join our growing team! Reporting to the Sales Leader, the Personal Lines Producer is responsible for achieving new business goals to drive revenue and growth.
How You Will Contribute
Develop and acquire new business revenue from new and existing clients.
Prospect sectors or market areas by identifying business needs and proposing company products and services.
Obtain prospects and actively pursue and create interest by making telephone calls, writing letters, or visiting clients personally.
Maintain currency and further develop expertise in a declared sector or market area through networking and professional development activities.
Work in tandem with the Personal Lines Team on proposals, ensuring a clear course of action.
Develop, present and sell new business proposals to appropriate prospects.
Comply with account quality and size standards established by the agency.
Perform periodic service calls on all accounts and coordinate customer service requests.
Conduct client coverage reviews and determine insurance coverage needs based on sound principles, updated legal requirements, and carrier rulings by state.
Sell additional coverage to existing clients.
Attend and actively participate in regular sales meetings.
Participate in the agency effort to develop and maintain strong company relationships through positive contacts with company representatives.
Achieve annual sales goals and provide regular feedback to the Sales Manager and Profit Center Leader on progress toward those goals.
Achieve educational and professional development goals established by agency management.
Leverage CRM to identify, target, and contact prospective clients; maintain all activity in the CRM on a regular basis.
Maintain a professional demeanor and support a positive public image for the agency.
Pursue personal and professional development.
Skills & Experiences to Be Successful
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
Exceptional telephone demeanor.
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
2+ years of experience functioning in an insurance agency or carrier, including sales experience.
Insurance Producer license in good standing (including authorities in states needed to service the assigned book of business).
Strong technical knowledge of the industry currently being targeted.
Routine or periodic travel; may require using personal or rental vehicle.
Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record report at the time of hire and periodically thereafter; maintain minimum acceptable insurance coverage.
Pay Range
75000 - 100000 Annual
