STS Technical Services is hiring Production Supervisors in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. This is a 1st shift opportunity for experienced manufacturing leaders who can supervise daily operations, direct shop floor resources and help teams meet safety, quality, productivity and customer satisfaction goals.

Position Summary

The Production Supervisor’s primary role is to supervise and direct manufacturing operations. This position utilizes staff and equipment to meet safety, quality, productivity and customer satisfaction goals.
This is a 1st shift position.
Supervisor Functions

Support department initiatives and continuous improvement efforts that align with company strategy and key performance metrics
Solve day-to-day issues and elevate challenges to management in the areas of safety, quality, production, personnel and resource availability, including technology, financial and physical resources
Gather and deliver information in a timely manner while ensuring communication is understood by all direct reports
Provide constructive feedback to subordinates and hold employees accountable
Provide feedback to manager for performance reviews as needed
Lead by example and demonstrate the company’s core values of expertise, passion, agility and entrepreneurship
Treat all levels of the organization with respect, honesty and integrity while supporting diversity, inclusion, compliance and employee safety
Shop Floor Management

Maintain responsibility for Level 4 boards, employee position map and quality and delivery issues
Direct resources to meet daily production goals
Production Assembly and Projects

Utilize production scheduling tools to direct and maintain daily operations
Partner with Project Managers to provide oversight on all phases of assigned projects
Coordinate and collaborate with multiple departments to ensure project specifications are followed
Ensure quality standards are followed and address deviations
Quality and Continuous Improvement

Perform line audits for quality, standard work, safety and basic condition
Provide training for standard work and matrix updates
Maintain responsibility for One Point Lessons and I5’s
Provide Team Member support on other continuous improvement projects within the assigned area of responsibility
Reporting

Utilize company systems to complete organizational tracking and reporting
Make necessary improvement recommendations to management
Ensure work instructions, processes and procedures are followed as defined by the company
Address and resolve production issues to minimize production line downtime
Accurately enter, review, approve and submit timekeeping for direct reports by defined deadlines
Union Contract Administration

Understand and administer the collective bargaining agreement
Provide recommendations for contract changes
Use management skills to prevent and/or settle conflicts before they escalates through grievance stages
Safety

Provide assistance in support of the safety strategy to reduce work‑related injuries
Conduct safety meetings and perform audits to help maintain the goal of zero lost time accidents
Promote a safe working environment
Perform all job functions safely and maintain safety awareness
Report known accidents, injuries and unsafe practices or conditions to the safety manager
Qualifications and Prerequisites

Associate’s Degree in a Manufacturing program required
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment required
Five years of supervisory experience and union contract administration preferred
Excellent verbal, written and public speaking skills
Strong conflict resolution, problem‑solving and interpersonal skills
Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Authorization
