Role Summary
The Director, Insights and Analytics leads the generation of actionable market, customer, and data-driven insights to inform commercial strategy and execution across Dyne’s portfolio of assets in clinical development for rare neuromuscular diseases. This role integrates forecasting, market research, competitive intelligence, and advanced analytics to shape strategic decisions, optimize go-to-market planning, and enable organizational alignment. The Director serves as a strategic partner across cross-functional teams, translating complex data into clear, impactful recommendations that drive business outcomes.

This role is based in Waltham, MA.

Primary Responsibilities Include
Forecasting and Strategic Planning

Lead development of long-range global forecasting models and scenario planning tools to project product uptake, access, and revenue

Evaluate and enhance forecasting methodologies to improve accuracy, scalability, and agility

Synthesize inputs across multiple data sources (e.g., market research, competitive intelligence, analogs) to validate assumptions and inform projections

Support long-range planning, lifecycle management, and commercial assessments for pipeline and business development opportunities

Partner with commercial operations and finance to guide operational forecasting and annual planning processes (AOP/budgeting)

Serve as a strategic advisor to cross-functional stakeholders across Brand, Market Access, Finance, Supply, Trade, and IT

Market Research and Insights Generation

Design and execute global insights generation plans leveraging primary and secondary market research

Manage end-to-end market research processes, including RFP development, vendor selection, and project execution

Translate research findings into clear, actionable insights and strategic recommendations for senior leadership

Ensure all research activities comply with data governance, privacy standards, and relevant external engagement policies

Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders to align insights with business priorities

Lead competitive intelligence strategy and analysis for key therapeutic areas, assessing market dynamics and competitive positioning

Oversee execution of competitive intelligence activities, including monitoring, reporting, ad hoc analyses, and congress intelligence

Deliver timely, actionable insights to inform go-to-market strategies, product development, and positioning

Develop executive-ready materials and briefings to support leadership decision-making

Represent the organization as the primary point of contact for competitive intelligence and at key congresses

Commercial Data Analytics and Capability Building

Expand and optimize the organization’s data ecosystem, including evaluation and integration of new data sources and tools

Lead development of dashboards, KPIs, and performance tracking frameworks to enable data-driven decision-making

Apply advanced analytics, statistical modeling, and trend analysis to generate insights from internal and external data

Translate complex data into compelling narratives and recommendations that influence business action

Educate stakeholders on data tools, dashboards, and data literacy to drive adoption and impact

Ensure adherence to data governance, compliance, and privacy standards

Education and Skills Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, PhD, PharmD) preferred

10+ years of experience in forecasting, market research, competitive intelligence, and/or data analytics within biotech or pharmaceutical environments

Experience supporting product launches and/or rare disease markets preferred

Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance considerations related to market research and data usage in pharma/biotech

Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex data and communicate insights clearly to diverse audiences, including senior leadership

Exceptional data storytelling skills with expertise in translating insights into impactful presentations and recommendations

Proven ability to lead through influence in a cross-functional, matrixed environment

Experience managing external vendors, including negotiation, scope management, and performance oversight

Strong business acumen with the ability to connect insights to strategic and operational decisions

Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities

Demonstrates high standards of professionalism, integrity, and accountability

Pay Range
MA Pay Range: $190,000 — $240,000 USD

The pay range reflects the base pay range Dyne reasonably expects to pay for this role at the time of posting. Individual compensation depends on factors such as education, experience, job-related knowledge, and demonstrated skills.
