EIKON service all the Hollywood studios and many other major content owners.
We are seeking an experiencedPost-Production Scripting Editorto join us at our state-of-the-art facility in Burbank, Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will have professional experience creating, editing and quality-checking post-production transcripts for the media industry and be familiar with the requirements of specialized localization documents such as CDSL and CCSL. We need you to understand the work that goes into top quality transcription, as well as how this scripting feeds into the services further along in the localization workflow. The work you do here will directly impact the viewer experience across the world, whether it be via subtitles or dubbing, so we’re looking for someone with excellent organisational skills, a great eye (and ear) for detail and a passion for language and media. Key Responsibilities

As a Scripting Editor, you will be creating, editing, and proofing high-touch projects from our most high-profile clients, ensuring an elevated level of accuracy while also meeting client expectations for efficiency.

The Localization team you’ll be joining works closely with other departments at EIKON and opportunities often arise to be involved in new projects which expand the scope of our scripting and subtitling work. We’re constantly developing new techniques and workflows, so are looking for people with the desire and ability to learn new software, concepts, and processes. Main Duties

Creation of Dialogue Lists, Spotting Lists, Localization Lists, and Continuity Lists for films, trailers and television series including:
Transcription and timing of spoken dialogue and plot-relevant text elements
Identifying and tagging specific elements for metadata and export accuracy
Annotating key terms and phrases to aid translation
Describing key continuity information including protagonists, setting, action and camera angle
Creation of related supporting documents
Exporting and finalising documents in Word and Excel
Quality checking of the above products when someone else completes them
Updating and editing scripting deliverables to account for updated source media or client instructions
Complete scripts and documentation in deliverable condition to deadlines
Ensure scripts are error-free and meet the highest industry standards as well as unique client specifications
Meticulously track edits and updates across multiple documents and versions
Support and improve your understanding of all scripting products to assist as a point of contact for client services, production management, Eikon teams, and clients
Contribute to more scripting products and services as they are developed, altered, or added
Skills and Attributes

Hands-on scripting or transcription experience in the feature film, streaming or broadcast media industries
Well-rounded knowledge of historical and contemporary events, cultural references, slang, idiom, and an overall curiosity about pop culture and film
Knowledge of subtitling requirements and post-production processes
Ability to exercise critical and analytical thinking while working with creative content
Superlative attention to detail and the ability to maintain focus across different projects
Organized, adaptable and quick to react to shifting priorities
Confidence to work independently using own initiative, but also to collaborate to ensure consistency and support the wider team's needs
Effective and diplomatic communication with colleagues at all levels
An ability to handle high-pressure situations and sensitive information
A positive and mature attitude to hard work
An affinity for picking up new processes and software
Must be able to work flexible hours during busy periods
Minimum Qualifications

BA/BS Degree in Literature, Creative Writing, Film Studies, or applicable equivalent experience
1 year of post-production scripting or transcription experience
Strong IT literacy including Microsoft Office
