Job Summary
FNTECH is hiring a Broadcast Engineer to maintain and support broadcast infrastructure for executive studio operations at Meta's Menlo Park campus.

This engineering-focused role is crucial for ensuring the reliability and readiness of Meta's executive studio environments. The Specialty Production Broadcast Engineer serves as a dedicated operational resource, owning the day-to-day health of broadcast infrastructure and studio systems.

This position will work closely with the production team and the cross-functional break-fix team to ensure all studio systems are fully operational, maintained, and production-ready at all times. The successful candidate will have a deep broadcast engineering knowledge, a systematic approach to troubleshooting, and the ability to keep complex studio systems production-ready, all while demonstrating the collaborative and proactive mindset valued by FNTECH.

Key Responsibilities

* Ensure all executive studios at MPK are fully operational and production-ready at all times
* Own the engineering health of all studio systems: video, audio, routing, networking, cameras, lighting, and VC/conferencing
* Perform regular system checks, preventive maintenance, and readiness verification across all studio environments
* Respond to and resolve technical issues in the studios quickly and reliably
* Maintain all engineering work in the racks that support studio and broadcast systems
* Ensure campus routing systems are configured correctly and functioning
* Work with other engineer teams to initiate and coordinate break-fix activities
* Document and maintain up-to-date system configurations, signal flows, and rack layouts
* Develop deep familiarity with Meta's campus broadcast routing systems and understand how signals move across campus
* Route, troubleshoot, and modify signal paths as needed, coordinating with various teams on campus for engineering work, route changes, or infrastructure updates
* Be available to support executive production projects when additional engineering resources are needed
* Spin up on project-specific technical requirements and contribute engineering capacity as directed
* Work alongside the Meta Production team and the Executive Broadcast Engineer on larger builds when scope requires it

Required Qualifications

* Strong background in camera systems (setup, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting)
* Intimate knowledge of broadcast routing systems, including campus-scale routing infrastructure
* Strong networking skills (IP video, broadcast networking, infrastructure networking)
* Deep signal flow knowledge across video, audio, lighting, and data systems
* Strong troubleshooting methodology — able to diagnose and resolve issues systematically under pressure
* Experience with rack builds, cable management, and broadcast system installation
* Ability to learn new and emerging production technologies at a deep level quickly
* Availability during standard business hours in Menlo Park, with flexibility for production needs, early calls, or late shoots as necessary
* 5 years of experience in a broadcast engineering role.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience supporting executive or high-profile broadcast studio operations
* Familiarity with enterprise-scale campus broadcast routing and signal distribution systems
* Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional production and engineering teams
* Background in preventive maintenance programs for broadcast infrastructure
* Experience with IP-based video production workflows and emerging broadcast technologies
* 10 years of experience in a broadcast environment.
