About the Team
OPIS, a Dow Jones company, provides price transparency across the global fuel supply chain, including Spot, Wholesale Rack and Retail markets. OPIS enables customers to buy and sell energy commodities with confidence through multi‑platform access to accurate data, real‑time news, powerful software and educational events.

About the Role
In this newly created position of Product Manager – Spot Product Technology Projects, you will improve the efficiency of Product Technology (PT) development and reduce the time to implement projects, particularly adding new assessments and creating new reports. You will move customers from legacy delivery methods to new, more easily maintained delivery methods and improve the Spot Group’s understanding of customers. You will report to the Director of Product Management – Spot Products Group.

You Will

Ensure that PT project requirements are fully specified so that development can proceed more efficiently.

Attend the majority of all PT sprint meetings and serve as the primary point of contact for PT and editorial in project execution.

Help manage the migration of customers from legacy distribution methods (emailed PDF, FTP/emailed raw data files) to new methods (Context, API).

Work with the product director, PT, customer service, and sales to establish a project plan to migrate customers to the API.

Plan and lead a project to move customers from legacy raw data delivery methods to the API.

Schedule and conduct customer interviews, and organize and disseminate the information learned.

Maintain and prioritize Spot PT project backlog.

Improve product reporting (demos, conversion rates, renewal rates, changes in annual contract value, etc.).

Plan and execute initiatives to maximize product performance, including evaluating new features/content and improving marketing and sales enablement.

You Have

3+ years of relevant work experience in product management, customer service/success, project management, contracts administration, business analysis for digital products or business‑to‑business (B2B) products.

Understanding of actions required to accomplish a given goal and effectively break down complex projects into clear, actionable steps.

Experience thinking through all angles and implications of new projects to ensure there are no gaps in project plans.

Experience communicating with groups that have varying degrees of technical proficiency and understanding.

Written clear requirements documentation.

Strong project management skills.

Commodities, information services, or subscription business industry experience (preferred).
