Clear Lake & Fever Recording Studios in North Hollywood, CA are offering a three month unpaid

internship opportunity for the up-and-coming recording studio engineer and recording school student.Our goal at Clear Lake & Fever is to provide a uniquely creative environment, top of the line equipment,and a skilled professional staff. All of which leave our clients with the distinctive recording experience expected from a top Los Angeles recording studio. Our internship program gives the opportunity to immerse yourself in real-time commercial studio work. Our interns get hands‑on experience with studio tech work, session setup, sitting in on sessions, and using the studios during downtime (after a trial period).

The program spans a 14-week time period; A two-week training will be held from June 23 – July 4, 2026.

Afterwards, the 12-week program will be from July 5 – September 26, 2026. We are looking for interns who can commit to two 8-hour shifts per week, including nights and weekends. Scheduling is flexible.

Duties

Supporting engineering staff with session setup and tear-down of recording sessions

Keeping the facility stocked, clean, organized, and functional

Assisting with client services: check-in, general questions, food accommodations

Assisting management with answering, routing, and documenting calls

General tech, office, and maintenance assistance as needed

How to utilize software plug‑ins

How to utilize analog outboard gear

Recording, editing, and mixing techniques

Session time management and meeting the client's goals for the session

How to conduct a session from start to finish

Troubleshooting analog and digital equipment

Day‑to‑day operations of a high‑end recording studio

Etiquette and professionalism when dealing with creative projects and high‑profile clients

Requirements

Must be a student or former student from an audio engineering, post production, or music business program

Be proficient in Pro Tools

Know basic signal flow

Must be able to take direction quickly and work well under pressure in a client‑facing environment
