3 x full‑time artists‑in‑residence, including a musician, a writer and an environmental artist, will work collaboratively with local communities as part of The Dingwall Collective.

Artist in Residence (3 posts available – a musician, a writer and an environmental artist)

Full‑time, including evenings and weekends when required (4‑day week, 28 hours per week)

Location: Fèis Rois office, Robertson House, Greenhill Street, Dingwall

Salary: £33,255 – £44,980 per annum, depending on experience

28 days inclusive of public holiday allowance

Pension: you contribute 5% of salary, Fèis Rois contributes 5%

Fixed‑term contract: 15 months

The Dingwall Collective is a place‑based creative project jointly hosted by Fèis Rois, Moniack Mhor and the Cromarty Firth Watershed Environment Trust. Rooted in Dingwall and reaching the wider Seaforth area, it brings together partners to deliver an ambitious cultural programme that empowers local people to shape their cultural life in line with the Dingwall Area Place Plan.

Primary Purpose of the Role
To actively engage people in shaping the future cultural life of their community in Dingwall and the surrounding area by devising projects where you as a creative practitioner work collaboratively with communities.

Responsibilities

Developing and delivering new creative projects in partnership with communities

Exploring ideas or issues that matter to the people living in the communities in which you are working

Being curious and excited about learning new things and developing your skills through training opportunities offered by The Dingwall Collective

Ensuring that all of your activities are appropriately risk assessed

Attending regular meetings between the Artists in Residence, project partners, the Project Manager, community organisations and other stakeholders

Being an advocate for The Dingwall Collective

Actively participating in the national Culture Collective network
