Position Overview
The Senior Art Director will lead the visual direction, translating creative strategy into high‑quality assets such as photoshoots, video production, storyboard, and campaign development. The role supports the Director of Creative in building the creative vision across partnered brands, leading internal team members and external agencies, and establishing a high‑performing creative engine that inspires diverse thinking and elevates storytelling.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Director of Creative to bring new, innovative ideas to brand, digital, and campaign work.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional team members and external agencies to develop and execute integrated creative solutions across digital, experiential, branding, and print.
- Plan, build, and work off‑site for events that require travel, heavy lifting, and participation to bring the brand experience to life.
- Own highly complex identity and creative projects while mentoring designers on their creative work.
- Direct and collaborate with producers and photographers on lifestyle and product shoots, maintaining a keen eye for brand aesthetic.
- Mentor and guide project teams, including designers and freelancers.
- Manage multiple creative projects, oversee deadlines, timelines, and facilitate work across project teams to optimize workflow.
- Push for stronger, differentiated work that aligns with brand and creative strategy and elevates the brand experience.
- Maintain creative excellence while managing a high number of priorities with precise time management, ensuring deadlines are met without sacrificing quality.
- Develop strong creative pitches and present work confidently to stakeholders, external partners, and cross‑functional teams, articulating strategic thinking behind creative decisions and measuring success.
- Challenge and sharpen creative and visual strategy across stakeholders, thinking in systems (campaigns and ecosystems) versus tactical assets.
- Influence cross‑functional partners with solutions, not just work.
- Partner with internal data and insights teams to generate performance measurements against creative solutions, continuously driving growth and success of output.
Trend Awareness
- Proactively learn industry happenings, trends, and new ways of working.
- Research tools and programs that elevate work efficiency for the creative team.
- Keep up‑to‑date with design and CPG trends to keep brands fresh and relevant.
Subject Matter Expert
- Operate with high autonomy and at times, ambiguity.
- Prioritize scalability and consistency across creative outputs and brand touchpoints using intuitive creative and visual thinking.
- Have excellent knowledge of standard industry creative programs such as Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
- Apply design‑thinking knowledge and human‑centric methodology to keep people at the heart of creative experiences.
- Oversee photo/video shoots and support video production alongside the Director of Creative.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in Graphic Design, Graphic Communications, Multimedia Design or User Experience Design is preferred.
- 10+ years of design experience, with 3–5 years in CPG preferred and agency experience highly preferred.
- Proven experience managing stakeholders through creative reviews, pitches, and project timelines.
- Proactive and hungry mindset—going beyond the expected to push the creative forward.
- Master of visual storytelling, with a deep understanding of translating strategy into compelling design.
- Passion for mentoring and guiding brand managers, designers, and agency partners toward stronger ideas and sharper execution.
- Knowledge in photography and video is a strong plus.
- Knowledge in AI tools is a plus.
- High knowledge of industry‑standard programs is required.
- Impressive portfolio demonstrating dynamic and strategic work is required.
- Ability to proactively problem‑solve, research and analyze information to inform decisions and recommendations.
- Ability to travel up to 15%.

Hours, Location and Pay
We offer a competitive base pay rate and comprehensive benefits package for full‑time employees. This role works standard business hours Monday to Friday at our Little Chute, WI manufacturing facility.
