JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a skilled and customer‑focused AV & Conference Room Support Technician to provide high‑quality technical support for faculty, staff, and campus events. This role supports a wide range of audiovisual environments, including conference rooms, classrooms, lecture halls, and large‑venue spaces. Our ideal candidate has strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and technical partners. Additionally, has the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and respond quickly in high‑stakes situations. Please note this position is 100% on campus.

Key Responsibilities

Provide on‑site conference room support for faculty and staff meetings, including user training, troubleshooting, and hardware replacement.

Diagnose and resolve issues related to audio, video, switching, and control systems across conference rooms, classrooms, lecture halls, and other instructional spaces.

Deliver online conference support for Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and hybrid meeting environments.

Support classroom and large‑venue AV systems, ensuring reliable operation for teaching and events.

Coordinate with clients, internal technical teams, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution and timely issue resolution.

Respond promptly to critical hardware and software issues, providing effective technical solutions and maintaining system uptime.

Maintain strong communication and customer‑service skills to support a diverse community of users.

Broad technical knowledge of AV systems, conferencing platforms, and hardware troubleshooting.

Job Duties

Performs audiovisual presentation support on campus and in remote locations. Interfaces computers with audiovisual systems.

Performs preventative maintenance and minor repair on audiovisual equipment. Performs troubleshooting on audiovisual and computer presentation systems.

Performs audiovisual recording of lectures and special events.

Maintains inventory of supplies and submits requests for ordering of supplies.

Completes service now work orders for assigned projects and submits completed work orders for processing.

Assist in small installation projects

Performs research into audiovisual technology and makes purchase recommendations.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
4 years' experience in the audiovisual field.
