General Manager - Boutique Reformer Pilates Studio (Vintage Park)
Staffing Fitness is partnering with a rapidly growing boutique reformer Pilates brand to find an exceptional General Manager for their Vintage Park studio in Northwest Houston, TX. About the Role
Location: Vintage Park - Northwest Houston, TX

Reports To: Regional/Area Director of Operations
The General Manager is a dynamic, multi-faceted leader responsible for all aspects of studio performance, team development, client experience, and revenue growth. This individual is passionate about Pilates, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and leads by example - both on and off the reformer.
The General Manager is expected to complete the brand's proprietary instructor training program and teach an average of 8 classes per week, while maintaining an in-studio presence during a minimum of 25 class times per week to oversee operations, coach staff, and engage with members.
Duties & Responsibilities
Operations & Performance
Manage day-to-day studio operations in alignment with company-wide strategies, policies, and procedures
Run reports and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) including sales, class utilization, member retention, first visits, memberships, expenses, and payroll
Drive studio performance to meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets
Monitor and manage the studio P&L, including labor costs, supply expenses, and retail margins
Create, monitor, and maintain class schedules and staff schedules to optimize utilization and coverage
Maintain inventory for supplies, retail merchandise, and beverages
Ensure the studio meets brand standards for cleanliness, maintenance, and presentation at all times
Sales & Marketing
Develop and execute local marketing initiatives and grassroots outreach to drive client acquisition
Foster relationships within the local health, fitness, and wellness communities, including influencers, corporate partners, and complementary businesses
Lead the sales process including membership consultations, follow-ups, and conversion strategies
Exceed studio-specific goals for new memberships, package sales, and retail revenue
Client Experience
Ensure delivery of an exceptional client experience consistent with brand service standards
Ensure all client inquiries, issues, and concerns receive a positive, professional, and timely response
Build and maintain strong relationships with members to drive retention and community loyalty
People Management & Leadership
Recruit, hire, onboard, and train instructors and studio leads
Coach, develop, and mentor team members to support career growth and performance improvement
Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and provide ongoing feedback
Plan and facilitate team meetings, training sessions, and social/community events
Role model the qualities and attributes of an exceptional instructor
Cultivate a positive, inclusive, and high-performance team culture
Instruction
Complete and maintain the brand's instructor certification
Teach an average of 8 classes per week at the brand's standard of excellence
Stay current on programming updates, class formats, and cueing techniques
Qualifications & Requirements
3+ years
of management experience in boutique fitness, health/wellness, or a related service industry
1+ year
of experience in Pilates instruction (reformer experience strongly preferred) or willingness to complete brand training prior to studio opening
Proven track record in sales, membership growth, and hitting revenue targets
Strong leadership and people management skills with experience building and developing teams
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
Proficiency with studio management software (e.g., Mindbody, Mariana Tek, ClubReady) and basic reporting tools
Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed
CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
Must be able to demonstrate and perform reformer Pilates exercises safely
Preferred Qualifications
Experience managing a boutique fitness studio (Pilates, barre, cycling, or yoga)
Background in local/grassroots marketing and community engagement
Nationally recognized Pilates certification (e.g., Balanced Body, STOTT, BASI)
Bachelor's degree in Business, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or related field

Physical Requirements
