We are placing an AV & Instructional Technology Specialis t with a prominent Chicago-area clien t looking to modernize its learning environments and elevate the classroom experience. This is a high-impact, hands-on role sitting at the intersection of project work and daily operations — ideal for someone who enjoys both building something new and keeping things running smoothly

.What You'll Be Doin
gYou'll own the design, implementation, and maintenance of AV and instructional technology across classrooms, lecture halls, and event spaces — while also leading refresh projects and collaborating with faculty, IT teams, and vendors to bring new solutions to life

.Design, implement, and maintain AV systems including projectors, displays, microphones, speakers, and control system

sLead classroom technology refresh and upgrade projects, ensuring compatibility with institutional standard

sProvide real-time technical support for faculty, staff, and event organizers to minimize disruption

sCollaborate with faculty and IT teams to deploy new AV solutions and deliver training on system usag

eRegularly inspect and test classroom AV systems to ensure optimal performanc

eManage IT asset inventory, maintain documentation, and contribute to knowledge base article

sTriage and prioritize support requests and follow through on issue resolutio

nStay current on emerging AV and instructional technologies through ongoing professional developmen

tWhat We're Looking Fo

rBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field — or equivalent experienc

eHands-on experience with AV control systems such as Crestro n and Q-SY

SFamiliarity with audio systems including Shure, Sennheiser, Biamp and QS

CExperience with media streaming, video conferencing platforms (Zoom, Panopt o), and Office 36

5Comfortable troubleshooting both Windows and Ma c environment

sStrong communication skills — able to work effectively with faculty, vendors, and technical team
