Search Marketing Manager (Google ADs)

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Campaign Management: Develop, execute, and optimize comprehensive Google Ads strategies (Search, Shopping, Performance Max, Display, and Remarketing) to achieve KPIs including ROAS, CPA, CTR, conversion rate, and revenue targets.
  • Keyword Research & Optimization: Conduct thorough keyword research, competitive analysis, and negative keyword management to maximize relevance and efficiency.
  • Ad Creation & Testing: Write high-converting ad copy, develop extensions, and run A/B tests on headlines, descriptions, landing pages, and bids.
  • Bid Management & Budgeting: Manage daily budgets, bidding strategies (manual, Smart Bidding, Target ROAS/CPA), and auction insights to improve efficiency and scale spend profitably.
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor campaigns daily using Google Ads, Google Analytics 4, and other tools. Provide actionable insights, reports, and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Landing Page & Conversion Optimization: Collaborate with web and creative teams to improve Quality Score, landing page experience, and conversion funnels.
  • Audience & Remarketing: Build and refine audience segments, RLSA campaigns, and customer match strategies.
  • Compliance & Quality: Ensure all campaigns adhere to Google’s policies, brand guidelines, and industry regulations.
  • Testing & Innovation: Stay current with Google Ads updates, beta features, and emerging paid search trends; test new tactics to maintain competitive advantage.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Required:
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience managing large-scale Google Ads accounts ($50K+ monthly spend preferred).
  • Google Ads Certification (and preferably Google Analytics Certification).
  • Proven track record of consistently hitting or exceeding ROAS/CPA targets in e-commerce, lead generation, or B2B environments.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in Google Analytics 4, Data Studio/Looker Studio, and Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Deep knowledge of search intent, Quality Score factors, bidding algorithms, and attribution modeling.
  • Preferred:
  • Experience in [Industry – e.g., manufacturing, industrial, B2B services, e-commerce, etc.].
  • Experience with Microsoft Ads, Meta Ads, or other paid channels.
  • Familiarity with SEO, conversion rate optimization (CRO), and marketing automation tools.
  • Experience managing agency relationships or in-house teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
