Podcast Producer & Content Manager job at Valerie Upham Team. San Diego, CA.
We’re looking for a Podcast Producer & Content Manager to manage the planning, messaging, coordination, and publishing of a purpose-driven podcast promoted across audio platforms and YouTube. This role oversees the process, guides the videographer, and creates all supporting written content.
Role Details

Approximately 20 hours per week
Hourly or project-based compensation, depending on experience
Remote, with occasional in-person meetings in San Diego

Responsibilities

Manage the podcast workflow from planning through publishing, ensuring a consistent release schedule
Contribute to episode messaging, themes, and key talking points
Coordinate with one videographer and provide clear edit direction
Guide YouTube positioning, including thumbnail direction, titles, and descriptions
Write episode titles, show notes, YouTube copy, social captions, and email blurbs
Publish episodes across podcast platforms and YouTube
Repurpose episodes into promotional assets
Coordinate guest scheduling, prep materials, and follow-ups
Track performance metrics and recommend improvements
Qualifications

Podcast production or long-form content management experience
Strong writing skills and message clarity
Working knowledge of YouTube thumbnails, titles, and descriptions
Familiarity with podcast recording and remote interview software
Organized, proactive, and comfortable working independently
Willingness to attend occasional in-person recordings or planning sessions
Interest in content serving seniors is a plus (can be learned)
