Scenic & Props Designer

Overview

Ghostlight Ensemble is seeking a Designer to handle both props and scenic/set dressing for its fall production of American Son by Christopher Demos-Brown. American Son follows an estranged biracial couple who must confront their feelings about race and bias after their son is detained by the local police following a traffic stop incident. Their disparate histories and backgrounds inform their assumptions as they try to find out what happened to their son.
Key Dates

Scenic and Prop Designer will be available for virtual production meetings, in-person designer run, tech week, and strike. Dates confirmed according to cast and production team availability.
Production Schedule

Rehearsals in August and September on weeknights.
Tech week: Sunday, September 13 in the afternoon and Monday, September 14 through Thursday, September 17 in the evenings.
Performances: Show will run Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Monday evenings and Sunday afternoon matinees from Thursday, September 17 through Sunday, October 4.
Strike: Sunday, October 4.
