Account Representative
As an Account Representative, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth by identifying, qualifying, and nurturing new business opportunities. You will collaborate closely with the Director of Business Development, fellow Business Development Specialists, outside sales professionals, warehouse managers, and customer service representatives, to help strengthen our customer base and expand our market presence.
Key Responsibilities
Prospecting and Lead Generation
Identify potential customers through outbound calls, market research, and lead generation tools
Qualify leads and assess transportation and warehouse needs
Customer Engagement
Build and maintain strong relationships with prospects
Hold 8 in-person or virtual introductory meetings per week, sourced through prospecting, lead handoffs, or marketing campaigns
Conduct solution-based sales presentations and demos
Promptly respond to customer inquiries
Sales Development & Handoff
Collaborate with Business Development Specialists to move opportunities through the funnel
Engage with the Director of Business Development weekly to pursue and advance leads
Sales Reporting & CRM Management
Maintain accurate activity and interaction records in Salesforce
Submit a minimum of 2 qualified opportunities per week
Provide weekly reports detailing meetings, activity, and lead status
Performance Metrics
2 qualified leads weekly from self-sourced prospecting
8 total meetings per week (virtual or in-person)
2 submitted opportunities weekly
Consistent and accurate CRM usage
