Position Purpose
The Marketing Resource Manager is a key support role, allocating resources for the many types of projects across the entire portfolio in support of the Marketing Managers. This role will keep our projects flowing smoothly; organize coordinator team bandwidth and coordinate creative requests and communicate timelines across stakeholders.

You’ll be the connector between creative, marketing, and production teams (print & digital), working to ensure that the right people are working on the right projects at the right time. Key Responsibilities
Traffic, Intake & Resource Allocation

Own the intake, prioritization, and tracking of marketing and creative requests

Oversee resource allocation across the Brand Marketing department, including designers and project coordinators and interns

Maintain and update team availability, capacity, and assignments in collaboration with Program Managers and Senior Managers

Translate creative briefs into clear timelines, scope, and resource plans

Balance workloads across internal creative teams and project coordinators

Forecast resource needs based on campaign calendars, seasonal priorities, and team bandwidth

Ensure project coordinators are effectively assigned to support initiatives based on scope, complexity, and timelines

Coordinate freelance and vendor scheduling as needed to support project demands

Manage equipment inventory and allocation

Art Traffic & Workflow Coordination

Partner with the Art Director to route projects based on skill set, availability, and priority

Monitor project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure deadlines are met

Facilitate regular status meetings to track progress and resolve bottlenecks

Collaborate with project/program managers, and marketing leads to align priorities and timelines

Cross Functional Collaboration

Act as the central connection point between Brand Marketing, Digital Marketing, other internal teams as needed, and external vendor partners

Facilitate prioritization conversations when demand exceeds capacity

Proactively identify risks, bottlenecks, and capacity gaps and recommend solutions

Communicate status, changes, dependencies, and campaign launch readiness clearly across stakeholders

Process, Tools & Optimization

Maintain and improve workflow systems and tools (Teams, Airtable, Basecamp, Excel, etc.)

Ensure documentation, processes, and templates are clear, consistent, and communicated across teams

Identify opportunities to streamline operations and improve efficiency, partnering with stakeholders to drive action

Support additional initiatives and projects as needed across the Brand Marketing portfolio

Reporting & Insights

Track throughput, turnaround times, capacity utilization, and on‑time delivery

Provide insights to marketing leadership to support planning and resourcing

Support seasonal and annual marketing planning with data‑driven forecasts

Qualifications

3-5 years of experience in marketing operations, traffic management, or creative project management

Meticulous attention to detail, accuracy, and follow‑through

Strong understanding of creative production and retail/brand marketing workflows

Proven ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities and shifting timelines

Clear, confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills

Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities

Ability to remain calm, diplomatic, and solution oriented under pressure

Proficient in MS Office, Google Suite, Airtable, Basecamp, and Adobe Creative Suite

Self‑motivated, collaborative, flexible, and highly organized with a positive, can‑do attitude

Preferred Skills

Zumiez and/or retail industry experience preferred

Experience working with in‑house brand marketing teams and/or creative agencies

Familiarity with campaign planning and cross‑functional collaboration

Understanding of action sports, streetwear, or youth culture

A collaborative mindset with a passion for supporting creative and executional excellence
