We are looking for a Director of Corporate Development to support the company's M&A and strategic investment agenda by overseeing the full transaction lifecycle and driving high-impact strategic projects that shape the organization's long-term direction. In this role, you will work closely with executive leadership and business unit heads, by evaluating and executing acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, partnerships, and capital markets initiatives that support enterprise growth. You will also advance key strategic initiatives beyond M&A, including market analyses, business case development, new business incubation, and support for long‑range planning.
What You’ll Do
- Lead integration planning and execution for acquisitions, partnerships, and strategic investments, ensuring smooth transitions and value realization.
- Develop and manage integration plans, governance structures, milestones, and performance tracking.
- Coordinate cross‑functional integration activities across operations, finance, HR, IT, legal, and other key functions.
- Support transaction diligence, risk assessment, and post‑close readiness planning.
- Track synergy realization, resolve integration issues, and monitor post‑close performance.
- Prepare executive presentations, status updates, and decision‑support materials for leadership.
- Conduct market, industry, and competitive analyses to support strategic initiatives.
- Lead special projects including business cases, partnership evaluations, and growth opportunities.
- Support long‑range planning and enterprise prioritization efforts related to transactions and strategic objectives.
- Evaluate internal and external proposals, providing strategic, operational, and financial insights.
- Enhance integration processes, reporting, governance, and project management tools.
The Experience We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field and an MBA or other advanced degree; a degree in Electrical Engineering is highly preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in M&A, corporate strategy, commercial due diligence, and business transformation, leading investment and growth initiatives across industrial, utility, and power infrastructure preferred.
- Demonstrated experience leading mergers, acquisitions, strategic partnerships, integrations, or large‑scale cross‑functional business initiatives.
- Strong understanding of transaction lifecycle activities, including due diligence, valuation concepts, integration planning, synergy realization, and post‑close performance management.
- Strong analytical and financial acumen to conduct market, industry, and competitive analyses.
- Excellent organizational, time‑management, leadership, and decision‑making skills, demonstrating a capacity for managing multiple priorities and driving project success.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills; experience with project‑management and reporting tools preferred.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to travel up to 30% throughout the continental USA, reflecting flexibility and commitment to project needs.
- Ability to pass a stringent drug screening and background check.
- Hold a valid and current driver's license.
