ON POINT continues to grow in our core dental vertical while expanding into other health and wellness verticals. As part of this exciting growth, we are seeking a Senior Associate of Marketing & PR to elevate our visibility and showcase our successes.

Your Potential Role
This is a position for a strong writer, visual storyteller, and highly organized content creator who possesses an ownership mindset – and who won’t mind dabbling in broader marketing efforts as needed. You will report to our Partner responsible for marketing strategy and meet monthly with a senior communications consultant who can provide strategic guidance and mentorship.

Your primary goal will be to translate projects, expertise and ideas into compelling content, and then share that content successfully across platforms. You will benefit from engaging in both hands‑on execution and strategic marketing development, and you will have the opportunity to learn, grow and share your perspective with collaborative colleagues in a fun, close‑knit, entrepreneurial environment.

We have designed this role for a marketer and communicator who is seeking a flexible weekday schedule, either to accommodate school hours or make more space for other personal pursuits.

Required Background

Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing, PR, comms or a liberal arts discipline – a major combining research, analysis, writing, and basic design.

5 or more years of full‑time experience in content creation, marketing, PR or journalism, preferably within a professional services/B2B setting (PR/ marketing agency or in‑house)

Clear knowledge of earned, owned and paid media, and how they work together across social media and digital content platforms

Strong writer of owned and earned content with a focus on creating brand‑aligned narratives for various target audiences across different channels

Fluency in Canva to support owned content creation, along with fluency in native tools for LinkedIn and Instagram

Experienced in publishing created organic content on social media, specifically LinkedIn and Instagram

Comfort with using analytics platforms for measuring owned and earned content, analyzing data to provide actionable recommendations for improving performance and planning future content

Proven ability to manage and document multiple priorities, inputs and feedback

Demonstrated desire and ability to keep up with the fast‑evolving nature of marketing and media, learn new skills and learn new platforms

Additional Preferred Qualifications

Comfort creating content for Pinterest

Familiarity with social media scheduling platforms

Experience with short‑form video tools like CapCut

Experience with Adobe Illustrator or PhotoShop

Basic understanding of SEO and how content might be optimized

Comfort with properly leveraging AI as a resource

Personal passion for architecture, design, and/or construction

The Work You’ll Do
Social Media Content Creation (primary)

Create and manage content for LinkedIn, Instagram, and Pinterest, with occasional shares to Facebook

Write posts and captions, staying mindful of tag usage and etiquette

Draft blogs

Develop stories, reels, and light video content (project highlights, day‑in‑the‑life series, team moments, etc.)

Maintain consistent brand voice and visual storytelling across channels

Design and Visual Content Creation (primary)

Create polished social graphics in Canva, with attention to layout, typography and visual storytelling, to support owned content for social media and direct outreach

Design newsletter and other direct email/mail outreach

Help design decks or other materials for industry presentations

Ensure visual consistency across channels for brand benefit

Written Content and Thought Leadership Creation (primary)

Draft articles for direct email and social distribution

Draft bylines for trade and industry publications

Review executive talking points for conferences, etc.

Prepare speaking panel submissions

Draft award entries

Content & Project Coordination (primary)

Maintain content calendar and ensure deadlines are met

Coordinate inputs from internal team members to develop stories

Organize, track and measure content across channels and campaigns

Research additional social media platforms and recommend if they align with priorities

Stay up to date on best practices and shifts across social media channels

Research, identify and track speaking and award opportunities

Media Relations (secondary)

Consume media and research news outlets

Maintain a media list

Identify relevant media and visibility opportunities

Draft media pitches and story ideas for trade and local business press

Develop press releases if needed

Event Identification and Ideation (secondary)

Identify/calendar relevant industry events for participation or sponsorship consideration

Contribute ideas for potential firm‑hosted events

Create promotional content around events

Your Schedule and Compensation

Schedule:

part‑time, Monday–Friday, ideally from 8:30/9:00 am – 2:00/2:30 pm

Hours and Hourly Compensation:

25 paid hours/week (5 hours of work per day) at $37‑41/hour, commensurate with experience

Structure:

Hybrid - 2 days in our Lincoln Park office and 3 days remote

Additional benefits:

Company issued laptop and program licenses; marketing‑specific professional development opportunities and quarterly performance reviews; and flexible paid time off and paid holidays (both prorated for part‑time employees), in addition to standard Illinois paid leave requirements.
