Technical Intelligence Editor – Leidos
Leidos has an opportunity for a Technical Intelligence Editor in its Intel Sector Analysis Solutions Business Area (ASBA) in McLean, VA. The role supports key U.S. national security and foreign policy objectives on CT issues.
Responsibilities
- Review and edit products to align with customer style guide standards, including graphics and interactive media.
- Verify proper sourcing of products and graphics.
- Finalize publications and provide archiving support.
- Track edited work product and ensure its workflow through the production process.
- Work within production schedules and coordinate with all parties involved.
- Produce, deliver, and archive finished intelligence publications.
- Support a non-traditional schedule: Monday–Thursday, 12:00 pm to 10:00 pm; additional hours and a 15% shift differential may apply.
Basic Qualifications
- TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
- Strong editorial experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Linguistics, or related subject with 12+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience editing finished intelligence products or assessments (1–5 pages). Proven track record of collaborating with analysts and managers.
- Exposure to U.S. foreign policy, national security CT objectives, and inter‑agency coordination.
- Knowledge of national security classification procedures.
- Experience adhering to a publication style guide.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, short‑turnaround environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word (Track Changes).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with Adobe InDesign.
Pay and Benefits
Pay range: $116,350 - $210,325. Benefits include paid time off, 11 paid holidays, 401(k) with a 6% company match (immediate vesting), flexible schedules, stock purchase plan, technical upskilling, education and training support, parental paid leave, and Health and Wellness programs.
