Purpose As Video Specialist II, this role is highly creative, technically skilled, and strategically minded, leading the development and execution of all video content across the brand. This role will be responsible for creating compelling visual storytelling that not only educates, but inspires — translating complex technologies, products, and ideas into engaging, high-impact content for both external and internal audiences.
As an end-to-endvideolead, this role combines production, editing, post-production, content strategy, and creative operations across brand storytelling, social media, product marketing, and growth initiatives. The ideal candidatepossessesexceptional editorial instinctsand the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance environment with minimal creative oversight.
This is a full-time, exempt, on-site position based in Torrance, California, requiring regular in-person collaboration withdesign,communications, and cross-functional teams.
The Role Lead the creative development and execution of design projects across social, presentation, and experiential mediums including event presence and facility design
Partner closely with Communications, Content, and Product/Engineering teams to produce compelling branded assets for both internal and external audiences
Own projects frominitialconcept through final execution, ensuring creative excellence and production accuracy
Sketch, storyboard, ideate, and develop original concepts based on stakeholder direction, research, and creative exploration
Maintain and evolve the visual identity and aesthetic standards of the brand across all media
Manage multiple concurrent projects ranging from quick-turn design requests to large-scale print-ready campaigns and presentations
Art direct and produce layouts, graphics, iconography, motion assets, and visual systems that communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively
Collaborate with product designers to support integrated product and brand experiences
Ensure visual quality assurance standards for file preparation, image sizing, color accuracy, formatting, and final deliverables
Support the creation of executive-level presentations in PowerPoint
Organize andmaintaindesign assets, templates, and production files for efficient team collaboration
Basic Qualifications Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls
Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Media Arts, Digital Media, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
4+ years of professional experience in video production, branded content, or related roles
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and strong working knowledge of Adobe After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, and related post-production tools
Demonstrated expertise editing commercial, branded, social, or narrative-driven content
Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, sound design, color correction, finishing, and cinematic composition
Experience managing production and post-production workflows in fast-paced environments
Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills
Experience leading projects from concept through delivery across multiple stakeholders and teams
Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a technology, industrial design, or product-focused environment
Familiarity working alongside industrial designers or physical product development teams
Advancedproficiencywith FigmaandPowerPoint
Experience creating motion graphics, animations, and dynamic visual interactions
Expertisein typography, layout systems, color theory, and visual storytelling
Experience creating andoptimizingdigital assets for web, and presentations
Knowledge of print production processes, printer specifications,andcolor management
Experience with image retouching, manipulation, color correction, and production optimization
Ability to create 2D assets, iconography, illustrations, and branded visual systems
Strong conceptual thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop innovative design solutions
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
Resourceful, self-motivated, and comfortable operating in an evolving, high-performance environment
A refined design sensibility and obsessive attention to detail
A strong understanding of how brand systems scale across media and experiences
The ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
Collaborative energy and a proactive approach to creative problem-solving
Passion for creating visually compelling work that communicates with clarity and impact
This role will be based primarily onsite in our Torrance, CA office.
Compensation At Divergent, our pay range is based on the level of the job. For this role, we will consider candidates at levels S04 as evaluated through our interview process.
