About the Role
La Lumiere New York is looking for a creative, self‑directed content creator and social media manager based in Austin to own our Instagram and TikTok presence. This is a hands‑on content creation role for someone who lives and breathes fashion, jewelry, and accessories, and knows how to build an engaged community through great content.

You'll work directly with our Founder, Director of Operations and Marketing Director to execute a content strategy that drives brand awareness, engagement, and sales.

What You'll Do
Content Creation and Posting (primary focus)

Post 10 Instagram stories daily showcasing products, behind‑the‑scenes moments, customer content, and brand lifestyle

Create and post 2-3 Reels per week on Instagram and TikTok — a mix of product-focused, trend-driven, and lifestyle content

Build and maintain reusable story templates and recurring content themes to batch‑create in advance

Tap into current trends on Instagram and TikTok and adapt them quickly for La Lumiere

Community Engagement

Respond to DMs and comments daily without needing reminders

Engage authentically with customer posts, tags, and stories

Reshare customer content and UGC to stories

Content Planning and Reporting

Maintain a content calendar planned at least 2-3 weeks in advance

Contribute twice monthly to the La Lumiere marketing deck with organic social metrics, wins, and engagement highlights

Keep an up to date list of Instagram and TikTok trends for ongoing content ideas

Help plan social content for product launches and seasonal content themes in collaboration with the team

Influencer and Creator Support

Assist with influencer and creator relationships, including coordinating product sends and tracking outreach in shared spreadsheets

What We're Looking For

Based in Austin, TX

Strong content creation skills: you can shoot, edit, and post confidently on your own

Genuine passion for fashion, apparel, jewelry, and accessories

Deep fluency in Instagram and TikTok: you know what's trending before it peaks

Proactive and organized: you manage your own calendar and don't wait to be told what to post

Experience with Canva, CapCut, or similar, photo and video editing tools

Familiarity with scheduling and analytics tools (HeyOrca, Later, Planoly, or similar)

Experience (but not reliance on exact output!) using Claude, ChatGPT or other AI tools for content ideation, video storyboarding, hook ideas, etc.

Success Metrics

4-5 Instagram stories posted daily, consistently on‑brand and product‑linked

2-3 Reels per week on Instagram and TikTok

DMs and comments responded to within 24 hours

Monthly follower growth and maintained or improving engagement rate

Content calendar maintained 2 or more weeks in advance
