District Program, Grade 5‑8 level, Parcells Middle School

Dates and Schedule
July 6 – 17, 2026 (Monday – Friday). Time: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. (depending on ensemble). Closing celebration: July 17th at 10 a.m. in Parcells Auditorium.

Responsibilities

Choose and order music for ensemble

Order supplies for the group

Submit invoices to program administrator

Conduct 14 rehearsals (if applicable)

Conduct concert

Qualifications

Valid Michigan teaching certificate with JX‑Music endorsement

Experience teaching grades 5‑8

Working knowledge of band and orchestra literature

Working knowledge of instrument pedagogy

Ability to motivate students

Compensation
In accordance with the CBA.
