Job Description

Fox News Digital is looking for an experienced Writer to join our team. The role involves covering breaking news and delivering compelling stories in a fast‑paced environment.
Responsibilities

Cover breaking news events, writing quickly and precisely to help solidify Fox News as the go‑to site for breaking news.
Pitch and cover stories that resonate with Fox News Digital’s audience, aggregating with complete and proper attribution.
Pursue original and exclusive stories through close contact with sources.
Present all stories—original, breaking, and aggregated—in an accessible, consistent, and compelling style.
Collaborate closely with editors and fellow writers/reporters.
Obtain and edit the most compelling video and pictures for each story.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience.
Experience covering the news and newsroom experience.
Intense interest in news across verticals, including U.S., World, Politics, Business, and more.
Knowledge of AP style is vital, as is a clear and crisp writing style.
Firm grasp of current events and a desire to be precise, quick, and accurate in presenting the news.
Ability to work in a deadline‑driven environment and under pressure in a fast‑paced newsroom.
Flexible schedule with readiness to work on holidays and emergency or breaking news conditions.
Ability to travel for breaking news stories.
Know‑how in developing SEO‑focused content.
PhotoShop and video (iPhone) editing skills preferred.
Ability to leverage AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, NotebookLM) to accelerate research, fact‑gathering, and story framing in a fast‑moving news cycle.
Pay and Benefits

Salary range: $60,000.00‑75,000.00 annually, depending on education, skills, experience, and location. Eligible for medical, dental, vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for union‑represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
