Position: Experienced Drone Pilot/Operator at iHeartMedia, Medford, MA.

What You’ll Do:

Obtain video from news‑related scenes such as crime scenes, traffic accidents, fires, community events and other newsworthy scenes.

Operate drones for aerial photography and video capture.

Transmit video from active scenes to affiliated television stations.

Conduct pre‑flight planning and post‑flight analysis.

Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot drone‑related issues.

Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and company policies.

Collaborate with team members to execute project goals.

Maintain flight logs and submit mission reports.

Stay up to date on UAV technology and industry best practices.

What You’ll Need:

Valid FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.

Proven experience flying drones in various conditions and environments.

Familiarity with drone software and navigation systems.

Strong understanding of airspace regulations and safety protocols.

Excellent communication and time management skills.

Knowledge of the local coverage area geography and roadways, mass transit and traffic patterns.

Ability to take direction and execute on deadlines.

Valid/current State Driver’s License with clean 5‑year DMV history and no at‑fault crashes or DUI’s.

What You’ll Bring:
You will be required to work odd hours, depending on the requests of the News Stations. You will be required to drive the Drone Vehicle (Subaru Outback) from its storage location in Danvers to newsworthy scenes and work with producers and stations for the best possible video/photo.

Compensation:
Salary to be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job‑related qualifications, and alignment with market data. $25.60 - $32.00 per hour.
