Job Description Summary / TWC Summary - Responsibilities include teaching courses in the discipline (which may include online, evening and or weekend classes); advising students; maintains active research and service agendas; seeks/secures external funding to support research endeavors; serves in advisory positions for student organizations and participates in committee work in the governance of the college and the Radio Television Film program. This position is tenure track.
Essential Duties Summary - Teach at the undergraduate and/or the graduate levels. Maintains an active research and production agenda, including seeking and securing external funding. Engages in department, university, professional, and community service, as well as student advising and support. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Hiring Range - $57,683.12-$74,988.00
Education - Required: An earned doctorate in Film, Mass Communication, Media/Communication Studies or allied field MFA with a focus and experience in visual content creation and writing for visual media are required
Required Licensing/Certification - None Required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Knowledge of: Policies, procedures, and practices. Microsoft Office Professional or similar applications. Skill In: Detail oriented. Effective customer service. Problem-solving and decision-making. Multitasking and time management. Both verbal and written communication. Ability to: Demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence. Demonstrated commitment to professional, community, and/or university service. Experienced in teaching undergraduate students from diverse backgrounds and cultures. Work with a diverse student population. Ability to develop and instruct students on being Hyphenate Creators that can shoot, edit and market micro-budget content that aligns with industry standards and trends for content development. Ability to maintain the security or integrity of critical infrastructure, which may include communications systems, computer networks and systems, cybersecurity systems, electrical grid, hazardous waste treatment or water treatment system.
Work Experience - Required: At least three (3) years of college or university teaching experience and must be committed to upholding excellence in teaching, research, and service. The successful applicant should have teaching experience at the university level and a record of research and scholarly activity. Candidates should have proven and demonstrated experience as a writer, producer and director of either Television or Film and as a creative producer in development, production and post-production of narrative television and/or film production. Experience and knowledge of emerging industry film production including the incorporation of Virtual Production and LED Walls (Additional preference will be given to candidates with experience in single and multi-cam studio based producing and/or directing.)
