Salary:

$6,031.00 - $7,775.00 per month. New to state candidates will be hired at the minimum salary or the alternate range when applicable.

Job Title:

Technical Writer.

Responsibilities
Develop and write technical documentation to support Covered California’s programs and technology used for health insurance enrollment. Research health‑care coverage topics, policies, and processes; convert complex information into user‑friendly guides, procedures, and support materials. Review existing knowledge content, evaluate effectiveness, and recommend updates to improve the end‑user experience.

Minimum Requirements
Class: Analyst II

Salary range: $6,031.00 - $7,775.00 per month.

Business travel may be required, with reimbursement subject to regulations and bargaining unit contract provisions.

Desirable Qualifications

Business or technical writing experience

Experience analyzing technical/functional specifications to determine documentation needs

Knowledge management and/or Knowledge Base system experience

Experience consulting with multiple program areas to develop processes and procedures

Working Conditions
Eligible for telework. Only employees residing in California may telework. Distance may vary based on department policy. In‑person attendance may be required on short notice.
