Our Fall 2026 Internship Program will run from September 1st through December 18th and is 20 hours per week. The agency is remote on Monday and Fridays and in‑office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday; we’ll need you in the office at least 80% of the time (16 hrs).

Our Social Media Intern is a go‑getter eager to develop professionally through dedication and hard work with the Idea Peddler team. We look for an individual whose ambition to grow their skills and develop their strengths is their top priority. Everything you work on will have a true and immediate influence on the business, giving you the chance to see your contributions play out on a large scale in the "real world."

This internship is an opportunity to understand social media from a holistic perspective. The position includes short‑term, mid‑term, and long‑term projects. Over the course of the internship, you will report directly to the Copywriter, Account Coordinator, and Director of Strategy, and will work closely with other team members on a day‑to‑day basis.

Responsibilities

Compose social media content using client‑provided objectives and materials

Execute a results‑driven social media strategy

Develop and curate engaging content for multiple social media platforms

Assist in the creation and editing of written, video, and photo content

Maintain a unified brand voice across different social media channels

Collaborate with social teams to create a social media calendar

Monitor social media channels for industry trends

Interact with users and respond to social media messages, inquiries, and comments

Review analytics and create reports on key metrics

Ideal Candidate

Excellent written and verbal communication, problem‑solving, and time‑management skills

Disciplined and self‑motivated, willing to ask questions and work independently; we guide, not hand‑hold

Receptive to constructive criticism and eager to take direction

Independent worker who also thrives as a team player

Highly interested in a career in social media, marketing, advertising, or related fields

Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas
