Position Overview
The Senior PPBE Analyst will primarily support the Warfighter Requirements Branch and be responsible for understanding and interpreting PPBE-related issues, concerns, and decisions as related to IAMD and capability-based planning. This position requires familiarity with the Joint Staff and subject matter pertaining to the Warfighter Requirements Branch duties.

Essential Job Function

Understand and interpret PPBE-related issues, concerns, and decisions as related to IAMD and capability-based planning

Support the Warfighter Requirements Branch in program and budget reviews

Participate in Department-wide President’s Budget Request (PBR) development and provide recommendations on matters requiring a Joint Staff position for advocacy

Track progress of items of interest in President’s Budget through Congressional authorization and appropriation processes

Support evaluating and refining high-level strategic documents such as the CPA, CPR, DPG, MDR, and NDS

Support preparation of senior leaders talking points for engagements such as the MDEB, DMAG, DAB, and others

Minimum Qualifications

Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance with SCI and SAP eligibility

Master’s degree

At least ten (10) years of professional experience within IAMD or a related area

Minimum of five (5) years supporting the Joint Staff, OSD, Service HQ, or CCMD HQ

Desired Qualifications

Direct experience with DoD PPBE processes

Familiarity with Future Years Defense Program (FYDP) and defense budget processes

Experience with Congressional authorization and appropriation processes affecting IAMD
