Reporter/Senior Reporter

We're looking for a reporter to dig into the biggest tax stories affecting multinational companies. Tax is central to the strategy of every major company across the globe-from big tech to manufacturing. You'll write daily stories to longer-term enterprise diving into legal and regulatory changes, build sources across industry and regulatory spaces, and collaborate with reporters and editors in Washington and London.

The right candidate has experience covering business or economic issues, a track record of developing sources and breaking news, and a desire to be at the center of the major decisions and challenges facing multinationals.
P roduce stories with compelling leads, nut graphs, solid framing , and diverse sourcing that can be published with minimal editing
Leverage in depth knowledge of federal and state legislative, regulatory, and judicial processes.
C ollaborate with colleagues on topic, multimedia and graphics teams as well as work independently.
S erve as a subject-matter expert and resource for more junior reporters throughout the newsroom.
Bachelor's degree with coursework in English or journalism preferred.
~7 years' experience in journalism, including at least one year reporting on legal, tax, or government topics.
