Regional Sales Manager (Western) with Tag Lighting Brands We are currently seeking a Western Regional Sales Manager to join our growing group of brands focused on the commercial market. The RSM will develop and strengthen our sales network in the region, providing support to the specifier community via our third-party sales representatives. This role involves identifying project opportunities, driving quotations and orders and supporting reps with site visits and product training. The successful candidate will be energetic, possess a strong level of technical knowledge and excel at building strong relationships both inside and outside our organization. We are a fun-loving, growing group that places a high value on collaboration and a positive work environment. Our company is based in the Chicago area.
Key Responsibilities
Increase volume and value of quotations: build network, conduct rep & customer visits/training, support trade shows and events, quickly respond to rep & inside sales requests
Increase order value & conversion rate: follow up on open estimates, serve as a resource for reps, specifiers et al., liaise between inside sales & rep/customer
Build strong relationships: serve as a trusted partner and support to reps, specifiers, distributors et al., including with strong followup
Drive improvement initiatives: create and refine tailored marketing materials, sales tools and programs
Provide training: master product knowledge, deliver engaging presentations, establish credibility through responsiveness and technical competence
Conduct data analysis and reporting: provide regular written analysis on key sales data, activities, trends and KPIs
Key Qualifications and Skills
5+ years in an outside sales role
Based west of the Rockies and able to travel as needed
Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
Team player with a “can do” attitude and strong customer orientation
Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
Detail oriented with excellent organization skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office products
Position includes occasional need to handle heavy documents and samples
