About the Role
The Vice President of Commercial Innovation provides strategic leadership for the processes, governance and operational infrastructure supporting Maverick Power’s commercial organization. This executive will develop and lead a team focused on enabling scalable growth across Sales, Business Development, Marketing, and Field Services by optimizing workflows, enhancing commercial capabilities, and driving organization effectiveness. The role serves as a key catalyst for innovation, alignment and customer-facing functions.

Key Responsibilities
The VP of Commercial Innovation will develop a strategic plan for implementation of commercial processes including but not limited to:

Oversight Responsibilities

Design, recruit, build and develop team

This role is a member of the Strategic Leadership Team of Maverick Power and will interface regularly with C‑Suite leaders and other VPs and Directors across the organization

Partner with the Chief Commercial Officer to define and implement a commercial strategy aligned to growth, profitability, and market share objectives

Translate strategy into actionable programs, KPIs, and performance management frameworks

Own the commercial operating rhythm, including QBR’s, pipeline reviews, and forecast cadences, to ensure leadership visibility and accountability across the commercial organization.

Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve commercial efficiency and effectiveness

Sales Excellence & Enablement

Design and implement world-class sales processes, methodologies, and tools

Drive adoption of CRM systems, pipeline discipline, and forecasting rigor

Establish sales performance metrics, dashboards, and reporting cadences

Enhance sales productivity through training, enablement programs, and playbooks

Oversee pipeline management, target setting, and incentive design / execution

Drive data integrity and advanced analytics to inform decision‑making

Lead commercial transformation initiatives, including digital tools, automation, and AI‑driven insights

Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and operational rigor

Benchmark best practices and bring external perspectives into the organization

In the near term, this leader will establish the foundational infrastructure for commercial scalability at Maverick Power, with a focus on:

CRM integration & Maturity (Hubspot)

Pipeline Tracing and Analytics (lead, quote, postmortem analyses)

MP Direct / Quote Tool ownership and development

Level of Authority (LOA) Management & Facilitation

Strategic Go to Market (GTM) Partners (Parallel Firms w/ similar GTM)

Sales Credit Governance and Administration

Field Service Processes and Tracking

Qualifications

Bachelors in Marketing, Sales Operations, Industrial Management, Engineering or related field

Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in commercial leadership, sales operations, or strategy roles

Experience in industrial manufacturing, data center infrastructure, or related B2B environments

Proven track record of driving revenue growth, margin expansion, and sales productivity improvements

Proven Track Record of building teams and developing talent

Results-oriented with a strong bias for action

Data-driven decision maker with high intellectual curiosity

Change agent with experience leading transformation initiatives

Collaborative leader who builds high-performing teams and fosters accountability

Strong executive presence with the ability to influence C‑suite stakeholders and represent the commercial organization in strategic discussions

Experience operating in a high-growth or scaling environment

Demonstrated ability to prioritize and execute in ambiguous, fast-moving environment

Preferred Qualifications

Masters in Business Administration

PMP Certification

Track record of Developing industry partners

Experience in Electrical Manufacturing, Modular Assembly of Configured products, Electrical Wholesale Channels

Experience with AI‑powered sales tools, revenue intelligence platforms, or commercial analytics platforms.

Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to twenty-five pounds at times.

Travel to HQ Office – Regularly

Travel to Customer Sites – Regularly

Factory Visits – Occasionally

May work in various settings at the Maverick Power facilities, in offices, in multiple shops, and in commercial buildings. Maintaining the same position or posture while performing tasks and sitting for prolonged periods.
