Position Summary - The Marketing & Fan Engagement Coordinator will support the Office of External Relations to enhance the student experience at home athletic events, including men's and women's basketball games. This position will work directly with external staff to support promotion of the teams through all engaging channels.
Essential Duties - This position will work to engage students in unique ways to drive attendance and increase school spirit at athletic events through on-campus promotion, social media, and working with student leaders. Co-advise the student fan group, The Olney Outlaws, providing general marking and promotions support, ensuring a vibrant student section through on-campus and digital interactions with student leaders, organizations, on-campus partners, and the entire student body. Work with on-campus partners to develop relationships and help create cohesion and synergies to support student attendance. Scriptwriting and directing for both Men's and Women's Basketball games, ensuring all internal and corporate partner promotions are included and executed. Work with Ticket Manager to promote upcoming games and ticket deals, and share pertinent information with ticket holders and La Salle students. Will assist the Associate AD of External Relations and Director or Marketing & Administration with general marketing and promotional initiatives. Will support all aspects of the La Salle Spirit team, including Cheer, Dance, Band including but not limited to recruiting and travel assistance. Travel, as needed, with La Salle Spirit teams to A-10 Men's and Women's basketball championships (other potential post season travel could include NCAA or other sanctioned tournaments). Ensure mascot and spirit requests are tracked and fulfilled. Under the direction of Associate AD and Director, collaborates on key initiatives related to marketing platforms, sponsorship and partnership strategy, integration of partners, in conjunction with University colleagues, for the benefit of the larger institution.
Secondary Responsibilities - Assist with digital media team to create graphics using Adobe Creative Suite. Complete other duties as assigned by Associate Athletic Director, External Relations, the Director of Athletics Marketing and Administration or other designee.

Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree. Minimum of 2 years relevant experience required. Successful background check clearances including, but not limited to, a PA Criminal Records Check, FBI Fingerprinting Check and PA Child Abuse Clearance Check. Understanding of and commitment to the mission of La Salle University.
Preferred Qualifications - Previous experience working in marketing and promotions in an intercollegiate athletic department.
Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours - Must be able to work long and flexible hours including evenings, early mornings, and weekends. This position will require travel.
