Futuristic Underwriters is a growth-oriented Managing General Agent (MGA) delivering innovative Property & Casualty insurance solutions to the U.S. middle market. We operate as a direct-to-retail MGA writing on affiliated paper, allowing for speed, underwriting authority, and tighter alignment with retail partners.
General Liability, Auto, Property, Supported Excess, Trucking, Monoline Inland Marine, Miscellaneous Professional Liability, Professional Liability, and Cyber.
In Development: Digital online quote/bind tools, workers compensation, additional E&S coverages, and admitted products.
The Position The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving profitable premium growth within an assigned territory by expanding and activating retail agency distribution.
This includes penetrating nationally contracted agencies by identifying and activating branch offices, securing new larger retail agency appointments aligned with underwriting appetite, and generating consistent, qualified submission flow.
The role owns territory execution and partners closely with underwriting to align distribution activity with product strategy and growth objectives. This is a remote position requiring regular travel within the assigned region.
Core Responsibilities: Territory Development Develop and execute a focused territory plan targeting high-opportunity agencies and producers
Activate branch offices within nationally contracted agencies to generate producer submissions
Identify and secure new qualified retail agency appointments
Production & Agency Management Generate qualified submissions aligned with underwriting appetite and product strategy
Conduct purposeful in-person and virtual producer meetings focused on measurable production outcomes
Build and execute agency-level production plans
Manage producing agency relationships to sustain and grow submission flow
Internal Partnership & Market Execution Partner with underwriting to ensure alignment on appetite, capacity, and market positioning
Provide territory-level market intelligence and competitive insights
Support agency programs and digital initiatives
Success Measures New branch codes activated within nationally contracted agencies
New qualified agency appointments secured
Growth in qualified submissions and premium bound
Profitable growth aligned with underwriting objectives
Qualifications Experience in insurance distribution, agency development, or territory production roles
Demonstrated success working with mid-sized to large retail agencies
Strong understanding of P&C products, particularly E&S and specialty lines
Ability to operate independently and execute a territory growth strategy
Willingness to travel within assigned region
Bachelor’s degree and/or relevant industry experience or professional designations preferred
