Position Summary
Installs, troubleshoots, and maintains electronic controls and automated systems. Provides operating software support for automated equipment and installs electrical components and wiring. Ensures equipment operates in a validated state at peak operational efficiency.
Shift Details
Monday Friday, 7:00 AM 4:00 PM
May transition to shift-based schedule based on business needs
Responsibilities
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on manufacturing machines and systems
Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions of machines, systems, and auxiliary equipment
Routinely inspect equipment for signs of failure to minimize downtime
Initiate improvements to enhance equipment performance and reliability
Diagnose and resolve issues impacting production efficiency
Perform corrective maintenance and support reliability initiatives
Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately
Support deviation investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement efforts
Ability to work non‑standard schedules and on‑call as needed
Regular and reliable on‑site attendance
Perform additional duties as assigned
Technical Skills / Experience
Strong troubleshooting and repair experience with industrial electrical and automated control systems
Experience supporting PLC‑controlled manufacturing equipment, including:
I/O troubleshooting
Sensors and actuators
Communication faults
Device integration
Working knowledge of:
HMIs
Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
Servo systems and motion control
Industrial networking
Experience with instrumentation and metrology equipment, including calibration of:
Pressure, temperature, flow, conductivity
Ability to troubleshoot:
Electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electro‑mechanical systems
Ability to read and interpret:
Electrical schematics
Ladder logic
P&ID
Wiring diagrams
OEM technical documentation
Familiarity with automated systems such as robotics, inspection systems, and conveyors
Strong root cause analysis and problem‑solving skills
Experience in GMP/GxP manufacturing environments
General Expectations
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong communication and teamwork across Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Production
Ability to prioritize work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
Maintain focus on equipment reliability and production uptime
Flexibility to support schedule changes, off‑shift work, and business needs
Expertise: Knowledge & Skills
Applies intermediate technical knowledge and concepts
Works under general supervision using established procedures
Exercises judgment in resolving routine technical issues
Interacts with supervisors, peers, and vendors as needed
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
2+ years of related experience OR completion of PBS requirements and assessment
Physical Demands
Moderate physical work (up to 40 lbs occasionally)
Frequent standing, reaching, pushing/pulling
Occasional climbing, kneeling, crouching
Work around moving machinery and production equipment
Work Environment
Manufacturing/production environment (constant)
Gowning procedures
Wearing booties/PPE
Working in controlled, sterile conditions
Warehouse environment (frequent)Office environment (occasional)
Moderate noise levels
Salary Range
$28.33 – $36.38 per hour
The targeted range for this role takes into account a range of factors that are considered when making compensation and hiring decisions; included but not limited to: skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
