Creative Technologist – AI-Generated Media

Our client, a creative technology company, is seeking a talented Creative Technologist for a 4‑6 mos contract role in Seattle, WA. This position involves building and tuning AI systems to produce short‑form, AI‑generated videos that recommend movies and shows to viewers. The role offers an exciting opportunity to innovate at the intersection of AI, media, and creative storytelling.

Creative Technologist - AI Generated Media Responsibilities

Design and refine AI characters, including their visual appearance, dialogue style, and interactions, ensuring consistent recreation of characters for AI video models.

Develop and specify creative briefs that instruct AI screenwriters on content parameters such as titles, characters, structure, timing, and rules.

Build and enhance AI personas responsible for script generation and video prompts without directly creating scripts or prompts.

Oversee the review process to identify issues related to timing, tone, character consistency, or audio quality, and trace problems back to their system origins.

Update and improve the AI system by adjusting persona instructions, refining briefs, and tightening quality rules to prevent recurring issues.

Creative Technologist - AI Generated Media Qualifications

Prior experience writing for spoken dialogue formats, such as screenplays, podcasts, or voice‑over scripts, where words are intended for listening.

Familiarity with generative AI models, including large language models and visual/audio content generation tools, with a strong understanding of prompt structuring and limitations.

Skilled in prompt engineering—iterating on instructions and diagnosing output issues to produce consistent, high‑quality results.

Ability to clearly explain why generated videos may not meet quality standards, with detailed insights into character appearance, timing, pacing, or other specific issues.

Experience with structured data formats (e.g., JSON, markdown) and basic video production concepts like framing, lighting, and pacing, to effectively direct AI models.
