JOB SUMMARY
The VP, Social Media will own Spectrum's full social ecosystem across Internet, Wireless Mobile, and Spectrum Streaming TV strategy, creative, community, influencer, paid, and real-time engagement. This leader will function as a true enterprise executive-shaping brand narrative, driving measurable business outcomes, and building the team and infrastructure to win across an increasingly fragmented platform landscape.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Define and lead Spectrum's social vision across all business verticals, positioning the brand as a cultural and category leader.
Build integrated social strategies and measurement frameworks that connect investment to full-funnel business outcomes, including awareness, affinity, acquisition, retention, and efficiency.
Set performance goals tied to business KPIs, lead executive reviews, and provide forward-looking strategic recommendations based on trends, platform shifts, and audience behavior.
Build, scale, and develop a high-performing social organization across strategy, creative, community, influencer, and channel operations, while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence.
Partner closely with executive operational leadership, overseeing social-first storytelling, scalable content ecosystems, and brand voice across proactive and reactive engagement, ensuring content is platform-native, high quality, and aligned to brand standards.
Lead influencer, creator, paid social, and agency partner strategy to maximize cultural relevance, advocacy, and business impact, while integrating social with sponsorships, media, attribution, targeting, and performance marketing.
Drive company-wide executive social council and oversee cross-functional working groups. Lead integrated acquisition strategies including drive-online, drive-to-store and drive-to-call initiatives.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Progressive leadership in social media, brand strategy, or integrated marketing-with significant time spent operating at or near the enterprise level
Proven track record of building and leading large, cross-functional social organizations within major consumer brands, telecommunications, technology, or entertainment companies
Expertise on the impact of social on AI Search / AEO
Deep command of owned, earned, and paid social-not just as a practitioner, but as a strategist who connects social investment to business outcomes
Sophisticated fluency in social analytics, attribution, and audience intelligence; you make decisions with data and articulate them with clarity
Proven experience building influencer and creator programs that go beyond vanity metrics
Executive presence and communication skills that command a boardroom and inspire a team
Experience managing complex, multi-agency ecosystems with the judgment to know when partners are adding value and when they're not
A genuine pulse on culture-you understand how platforms evolve, how audiences behave, and where the next moment is coming from.
Ability to lead large change, complex projects and initiatives, foster teamwork, and build a strong culture of collaboration
Required Education
Bachelor's Degree required; advanced degree a plus in related field
Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years
Marketing experience - 15+
Social Media experience - 15+
Leadership Experience - 10+
Must have experience managing outsourced agencies, vendors and distributed teams.

Preferred Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Combines creative instinct with analytical discipline and the operational authority to lead a complex organization. Should be as comfortable shaping a brand narrative as they are digging into attribution data or presenting a quarterly business review to the C-suite.
Sets the vision, builds the systems, and holds the standard-understands that social is no longer a channel but a strategic asset, and has depth of experience
