Social Media Photographer & Videographer Intern (Bay Area)

We’re seeking a creative, reliable, and motivated Photographer & Videographer Intern to support content creation for a variety of growing brands across the Bay Area. This is an excellent opportunity for a student, recent graduate, aspiring content creator, or freelancer looking to build their portfolio while gaining hands‑on experience across multiple industries.

About the Opportunity
You’ll work directly with an established entrepreneur, media brand, and educational consulting business to capture engaging social media content for a variety of projects that may include:

Educational and psychology‑focused brands

Hospitality and restaurant partnerships

Lifestyle and wellness content

Fashion and personal branding

Networking and business events

Community and public events

Content shoots will take place in various lifestyle settings, including:

Coffee shops and cafés

Restaurants and hospitality venues

Outdoor locations throughout the Bay Area

Professional networking events

Local attractions and destination settings

Responsibilities

Capture high‑quality photo and video content using:

iPhone 16 Pro

Film Instagram Reels, Stories, TikTok‑style content, and behind‑the‑scenes footage

Take lifestyle, branding, event, and promotional photography

Assist with creative direction and shot planning

Provide ideas for content trends, angles, transitions, and storytelling

Help set up and utilize lighting equipment, microphones, tripods, and accessories when needed

Organize and deliver raw content files promptly after shoots

Ideal Candidate

Student, intern, aspiring content creator, or emerging freelancer

Has an existing portfolio showcasing photography and/or videography work

Comfortable shooting on both iPhone and Canon cameras

Familiar with social media platforms and current content trends

Creative, collaborative, and detail‑oriented

Comfortable directing simple poses and capturing candid moments

Reliable transportation within the Bay Area

Available approximately one day per month for content shoots, with potential for additional opportunities

Preferred Skills

Experience with Instagram Reels, TikTok, and short‑form video content

Basic editing knowledge (CapCut, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, Lightroom, etc.)

Understanding of lighting, composition, and visual storytelling

Interest in entrepreneurship, marketing, branding, fashion, hospitality, travel, or education
