Job Title

Reliability Tech C – 1st Shift (Monday‑Friday 07:00am to 03:00pm)
Position Overview

Maintain and ensure capacity of equipment assets in assigned areas of responsibility to achieve optimal efficiencies at lowest reasonable cost.
Position Expectations

Learn and grow in knowledge of maintenance practices and equipment performance, understanding their impact on manufacturing processes and business objectives.

Position Duties & Tasks

Maintain manufacturing process and support equipment to highest, reasonable performance levels, including mechanical systems (e.g., power transmission components such as bearings, pulleys, shafts, couplings, sprockets, chains, belts, motors, gearboxes).
Maintain and support conveyance systems (product/process‑related or utility‑related, such as steam, water, air, electricity, pumps, piping).
Maintain and support mechanical control systems, including hydraulic and pneumatic elements.
Troubleshoot and repair equipment contributing to safety, quality, or downtime/productivity issues.
Communicate findings, identifying causes and corrective steps to operations and maintenance leadership.
Execute proactive maintenance plans on assigned equipment: Preventive Maintenance (PM) – inspection, measurement and replacement of components on defined schedules with lubrication; Predictive Maintenance (PdM) – inspection, measurement and data collection with PdM tools; Condition Maintenance (CM) – repair/replacement of components identified through PM & PdM.
Execute assigned or scheduled work orders supporting projects and process‑improvement efforts critical to business objectives.
Assist Reliability Tech B’s, A’s, and Leads in installation and removal of general mechanical systems tools, focusing on selection of the right tool for the assignment.
Apply proper storage and handling techniques for lubricants.
Apply knowledge of power‑transmission component types, plumbing/piping conveyance systems, precision alignment techniques (including laser alignment), and basic troubleshooting of mechanical systems.
Critical Knowledge & Skills

Safety practices – LOTO, confined space, PPE, PIT, fall protection, hoisting & rigging, hot work.
Calculator and computer application – work‑order documentation, parts requisitioning.
Measurement units, techniques, and appropriate tool selection.
Mathematics – arithmetic, formulas (area, volume), conversion of units.
Read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics; make simple sketches.
Power‑transmission component types, plumbing/piping conveyance systems, precision alignment techniques, basic troubleshooting, common failure modes.
